  • DAY 1. FLIGHT TO HANOI

  • Flight to Hanoi. Meals and night on board. 

  • DAY 2. ARRIVAL IN HANOI (L, D)

  • Upon arrival to the airport, you will be welcomed by the guide and transferred to your hotel located at the heart of the thousand-year-old city. Check in at the hotel and time to settle. 
    The afternoon will be free for you to rest or take a walk in the Old Quarter. This quarter’s charm is unique and specific to the Old World thanks to the colonial architecture of its buildings. What makes it special is that it is divided into 36 streets named according to the craft professions practiced as well as the products sold there: the Silk Street, the Cotton Street, the Iron Street… 
    In the evening, you will have dinner at a nice restaurant with the members of your group.

  • DAY 3. HANOI (B, L, D)

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Your guide will take you to visit the city of Hanoi and more particularly the Ho Chi Minh complex: the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the House on Hilts, the Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda
    You will also discover the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university built to educate Vietnam's bureaucrats, nobles, royalty and other members of the elite.
    Lunch at a local restaurant located in the city center. 
    After your meal, you will visit the captivating Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, where many typical ethnic objects are exhibited such as traditional costumes, tools, musical instruments, etc. It is a place where you will discover the typical houses of the 54 ethnicities living in Vietnam (warning: the museum is closed on Mondays).
    Then, you will take a walk to discover the colonial part of the city and its 36 streets more in details. You will also visit the Ngoc Son Pagoda located on the Hoan Kiem Lake, symbol of the city. 
    In the evening, you will attend a water puppet show, which is a folkloric theatric representation of the daily rural life on the Red River. 
    Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel. 
     
  • DAY 4. HANOI – HOA LU – INLAND HALONG BAY (B, L, D)

  • After breakfast, you will hit the road to go to the region of Ninh Binh, known as “Inland Halong Bay”. 
    You will visit Hoa Lu, which was the capital of Vietnam under the reign of the Dinh dynasty during the 10th century. Then, you will go to Van Long to embark on a barge for a 1,5 hour long cruise through the canals, rice fields and rocky peaks.  
    Lunch break on the way.
    The afternoon will end with the visit of King Dinh and King Le’s Temples, which are dating from the imperial era. 
    Dinner at the hotel.
  • DAY 5. NINH BINH – HALONG BAY (B, L, D)

  • You will hit the road after breakfast to go to Halong Bay and ride an air-conditioned bus for around 3,5 hour. You will arrive around noon and embark on a beautiful wooden junk for a 2-day-1-night cruise on Halong Bay. 
    Night on board, in a deluxe cabin. 
  • DAY 6. HALONG BAY – HANOI – LUANG PRABANG (B, L, D)

  • Enjoy the sunrise on the deck and continue cruising through the splendid landscapes of this mythical bay. Have brunch on board before disembarking and setting off to go to the airport of Hanoi for your flight to Luang Prabang
    Upon arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant. 
  • DAY 7. LUANG PRABANG – PAK OU (B, L, D)

  • Early in the morning, you will be able to assist to the Alms Giving Ceremony: as the sun rises in Luang Prabang, around 200 Buddhist monks depart from their various temples to gather their daily meal. The tradition of alms gathering dates back to the 14th century, yet still today locals wake early to prepare the food for the monks and wait quietly by the roadside to give their gifts. 
     
     
    After the ceremony, you will eat a delicious traditional Lao breakfast before exploring the colorful market of Luang Prabang. 
    Once you have discovered all the savors the market has to offer, a tuk tuk will take you on a ride to explore the city: you will see the Royal Palace which has been turned into a National Museum, as well as the Phra Bang, the palladium of Laos. 
    Then, you will ascent Mount Phousi that will offer you a breathtaking view on the main edifices of Luang Prabang. After that, you will return and take a walk in the Old Quarter of the city.
    Lunch at a local restaurant. 
    The day will continue on a boat: you will go up the Mekong River, toward the Pak Ou Caves. An aperitif will be served while you will be able to admire the sun setting on the Mekong. 
    Return to Luang Prabang in the end of the day. 
    Dinner at a local restaurant.
  • DAY 8. LUANG PRABANG – KUANG SI – LUANG PHRABANG (B, L)

  • Your day will begin with the visit of Wat Xieng Thong, the temple of the royal city, Wat Visoun as well as the Ock Pop Tok Living Crafts Centre
    Then, you will hit the road to go to the Kuang Si Waterfalls, where you will eat a delicious picnic. 
    Return to Luang Prabang at the end of the day and dinner at a local restaurant.
  • DAY 9. LUANG PRABANG – PAKSE – WAT PHOU – KHONG ISLAND (B, D)

  • Breakfast at the hotel before your transfer to the airport for your flight to Pakse. Upon arrival, you will be given a packed lunch to complete the offered meal during the flight. 
    A car will take you to Champassak, where you will discover the Khmer temple of Vat Phou. Then, you will continue to Ban Hat, where you will cross a bridge over the Mekong and reach Khong Island, where you will spend the night. 
    Dinner at the hotel.
     
  • DAY 10. KHONG ISLAND – KHONE ISLAND – KHONG ISLAND (B, L, D)

  • You will embark on a small boat for a cruise on the Mekong River, in the middle of the 4,000 Islands. There, you will discover Khone Island, which is located in a verdant and peaceful environment. Bicycle ride and discovery of many colonial vestiges as well as the Li Phi Waterfalls that you will be able to reach after you crossed a few little hamlets and bamboo forests. 
    Lunch at a local restaurant.
    In the afternoon, you will continue toward another jetty and will embark a slow boat to observe the Irrawaddy dolphins. Then, you will go back to Khong Island
    Dinner at the hotel. 
  • DAY 11. KHONG ISLAND – DONG KALOR/VEUM KHAM FRONTIER – PREAK VIHEAR (B, L, D)

  • You will eat a delicious breakfast in the morning before embarking on a boat to go back to the bank of the Mekong River. You will then depart for the border of Cambodia, where you will visit the Pa Peng Waterfalls, also known as the “Niagara of Mekong”.
    Border crossing procedures.
    Once you have crossed the border, you will be greeted by your Cambodian guide. Departure for Steung Treng and crossing of the river as well as the forest to reach the region of Preah Vihear
    Lunch at a local restaurant. Arrival in Preak Vihear at the end of the day. Check-in at the hotel and free time until dinner.

  • DAY 12. PREAK VIHEAR – SIEM REAP (B, L)

  • Visit of Preah Vihear, an ancient Hindu temple built during the period of the Khmer Empire. It is situated atop a 525-metre (1,722 ft) cliff in the Dângrêk Mountains, in the Preah Vihear province. 
    Lunch at a local restaurant before your departure for Siem Reap, where you will arrive at the end of the day.
    Check-in at the hotel and dinner at your expense.
    Overnight stay at the hotel. 
  • DAY 13. SIEM REAP – ANGKOR – BANTEAY SREI – TA PROHM (B, L)

  • You will have breakfast at the hotel before departing for Angkor Wat.
    Lunch at a local restaurant.
    In the afternoon, you will go to Banteay Srei, a 10th-century temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. On the way back, you will also visit the ancient monastery of Ta Prohm
    Unlike most Angkorian temples, Ta Prohm is in much the same condition in which it was found: the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor's most popular temples with visitors.

  • DAY 14. PREAK KHAN – NEAK PEAN – THOMMANON – CHAU SAY TEVODA – ANGKOR THOM (B, L, D)

  • This morning will be dedicated to exploring Angkor by tuk tuk: you will have the opportunity to discover Preah Khan, a temple built by King Jayarvarman VII in 1191, as well as Neak Pean, a unique temple-island in Angkor.
    Departure for the beautiful temples of Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda
    Lunch at a local restaurant. 
    In the afternoon, you will visit Angkor Thom.The visit will start at the South Gate and you will be greeted by its famous and fascinating giant faces. Then, you will discover the Bayon temple as well as the Terrace of the Leper King and the Terrace of the Elephants
    Dinner with Apsara dance show at a local restaurant.
  • DAY 15. SIEM REAP – DEPARTURE (B)

  • Day free at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your international flight.
