The Temples of Angkor

Learn all about the secrets of Angkor, this gigantic World Heritage Site.

  • DAY 1. SIEM REAP – ANGKOR WAT – BAKENG HILL

  • Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by the guide and driver who will take you to your hotel for check-in.
    After that, you will discover the largest temple of Angkor: Angkor Wat. ItWat was built at the beginning of the 12th century by King Suryavarman II. As the most well-preserved temple of Angkor, it is considered as the greatest Khmer architectural work.
    At the end of the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to admire the sunset at Phnom Bakeng.
    Overnight stay at Siem Reap.
     
  • DAY 2. SIEM REAP – ANGKOR THOM – SMALL CIRCUIT (B)

  • After breakfast, your day will begin with the visit of Angkor Thom, the royal city built by King Suryavarman II at the beginning of the 12th century. The visit will start at the South Gate and you will be greeted by its famous and fascinating giant faces. Then, you will discover the Bayon, Baphuon and Phimeanakas temples as well as the Terrace of the Leper King and the Terrace of the Elephants
    In the afternoon, you will explore the Small Circuit, which takes in several of the major and minor temples in the area: the Ta Prohm Temple, which was built in 1186 by King Jayavarman VII and dedicated to his family, as well as the Banteay Kdei Temple.

  • DAY 3. SIEM REAP – BANTEAY SREI – ROLUOS GROUP (B)

  • After breakfast at the hotel, you will discover Banteay Srei, a 10th-century temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva and now widely praised as a "precious gem", or the "jewel of Khmer art."
    You will visit the Banteay Samré on your way back and will continue toward Roluos, the first city created by the King of Cambodia.
    Overnight stay in Siem Reap.
     
  • DAY 4. TONLE SAP LAKE – DEPARTURE (B)

  • You will embark on a boat to explore Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. This excursion will give you the opportunity to discover a floating village as well as its inhabitants’ daily life.
    After that, you will take a stroll in the local market or in Angkor’s craft workshop before your transfer to the airport for your international flight.
